Eric:
Morning day 4: everyone seems to have slept well despite headaches, nausea, etc due to the altitude. It is well below freezing. Today we descend to help adjust.
We are sitting in the shadow of mt. kilimanjaro as the sun rises. What a feeling!! As a team, no one has been as high as we are now. It is cold but we are all upbeat and exited about what today holds. In less than 48 hours we will be summitting
We have reached camp 4, 13100 ft. Everyone is feeling very well. SENE is providing great food. I have taken some awesome pictues with the GOPRO camera.
Things are going well. Everyone seems to be doing better today after a decrease in altitude.
We started today at 8:30 (we were at 15100ft) had lunch at one (at 13000ft) and then proceed to camp 4 which is as at 13200ft. There was a lot up and down between where we started and where we ended up.
Dinner tonight will be tomato and ginger soup, chicken stew with macroni, butternut squash, sauteed vegatables, fruit with tea for desert.
Everyone is loving their warm feet because of the Darn Tough socks and Merrel boots.
Neil:
