Team Modern Hiker In for July 3rd Event!

We’re thrilled to announce that Team Modern Hiker is joining Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up to host a hike for Climb Up the 50 on July 3rd. Known as a one one-stop shop for hiking in Los Angeles and the rest of Southern California, Modern Hiker has been listed as one of the Top 10 Hiking Blogs and has been called "the best source of hiking information in Southern California ... with possibly the best trip reports online anywhere."

Head blogger and SoCal Hiking Guru Casey Schreiner is still finalizing details, but the event is tentatively planned to be a hike of Mount Baldy on July 3rd. Modern Hiker readers and the public are invited to participate. Furthermore, there has been a rumor that Casey will have some goodies for all participants and a special prize for the participant that raises the most money  to help our beneficiaries: African children with AIDS.

If you’ll be in SoCal during the holiday weekend, please consider joining Team Modern Hiker to enjoy a beautiful hike and help children that can really use it.
