Since we first announced that Southern California’s Modern Hiker blog is hosting a hike on July 3rd for Climb Up the 50, it’s been growing by leaps and bounds. The team is now up to 11 members and has already raised over $600!
There’s no doubt that the popularity of the event is a testament to the popularity of this SoCal hiking mainstay, but blogger Casey Schreiner has created a challenging hike. With a vertical ascent of almost 4,000, the trip should be strenuous but do-able. Participants will be treated to the view from the summit of Mt. Baldy, which is the highest point in LA county.
