A Note of Appreciation from Zimbabwe Orphans Through Extended Hands (ZOE)

For those that were unaware, AFCA Executive Director Tanya Weaver recently traveled to Africa to meet with the organizations partners in helping the children there. Among the agencies with which we work is Zimbabwe Orphans Through Extended Hands (ZOE).

Part of what The American Foundation for Children with AIDS and our Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up events do is raise funds to help African children with AIDS. This not only includes critical medicines and medical supplies, but also big boxy things that make those supplies usable. As a result, AFCA donated a power generator to ZOE to ensure the safe and effective delivery of services...

After Tanya's recent visit to Zimbabwe, ZOE Finance Manager sent Tanya a brief note of thanks, which we've included below:

Hie Tanya

How are you all and and how did you travel. We are all doing good with our work going on with the generator now working.  We managed to buy it this week and today we do not not have electricity so we are using our generator for the first time.   It works so perfect.

As a team we would like to express our appreciation because there are no disruptions of work due to power cut offs.  May the Lord our God bless you in all your desires, plans, families and all the beneficiaries you are helping.

You have done a great job.

With best regards

Esiline

While Esiline's kind words are appreciated, everyone at AFCA and Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up feels that it's important to thank everyone that continues to help us support our young beneficiaries. Therefore we'd like to thank our Corporate Sponsors, donors, event participants and everyone else in helping us make this kind of support possible.

"Thank You"

Bill

UPDATE - After publishing the post above, we received the below "Thank You" note, so I thought I'd include it too:

Hi Tanya,

I hope you enjoyed your stay here in Zim & that you had a good trip back to the US.
We just bought our new genarotor on Monday & used it for the first time today morning. Thanks to your generousity & kindheartedness. We are all really excited to know that the long hours of having no electricity at the office are over. & I'd like you to know that you are appreciated.

Have a good weekend. God bless you & take care.

PS. Please pass my kind regards to Val.
