An Update From Scott N. in Kilimanjaro

Hi All,

The whole team arrived safely in Tanzania with only 2 bags lost in transit. Fortunately both will be delivered tomorrow before we start the climb. The SENE farmhouse is BEAUTIFUL and they are feeding us very well!

This morning, after a fantastic breakfast of fresh fruit and eggs, we went for a walk around Mbahe village to the entrance of Kilimanjaro National Park. We met many friendly faces, all of whom met uswit a hearty "Jambo!" After lunch Ben and I went for a swim by the waterfall and were immediately joined by several local kids.

All are making final preparations for our climb. Felix and Pascal inspected everybody's climbing gear and remarkably we all passed. Tomorrow we start up the mountain!

I am extremely grateful for all of the sponsors and donors who have made this trip possible - particularly Rare Earth Adventures for donating the guided climbs up Mount Saint Helens.

Asante sana!

-Scott Norton
